Where's the Money Going to Come From?
1. Win a lottery. (Little chance.)
2. Receive an inheritance. (Little chance.)
3. Book Sales (None of my books are selling. I need cover designs, copyright registration and ISBN numbers to get them on Amazon.)
4. Public Relations Consulting (There doesn't seem to be a need for PR services in my area.)
5. Negotiating Speaker Contracts for a fee or commission (Nothing yet.)
6. Money Recovery (I send out letters to people who owe me and they ignore me.)
7. Social Security/Totalization Program between US and Canada (I've applied with all the necessary documents, but I've been ignored for more than a year.)
8. Supplemental Security Income (Rejected because I own a home.)
9. Estate Sale (This brings me less than $100 a month)
10. Class Action Suits (I've applied for several - small amounts - but I won't have a response for many months.)
11. Renting out my condo (This would not be cost-effective and I would lose money as I'd have to rent storage space for my things.)
12. Corporate Sponsors (I want to work on this for large sponsors.)
13. Patrons (See Kickstarter Campaign, #19)
14. Affiliate Programs (I have had my savings account with Ally Bank, an online only bank, since 2010. If you open bank accounts with Ally Bank you may find their interest rates are quite favorable. Here's my affiliate link: https://ally.com/referral?code=3X8B4Z5H2D )
15. Chores (In my area men get hired for chores; residents here don't want to hire a woman to do the work.)
16. Voicework (I'd like to do the kind of voiceover work I used to do: TV commercials, video narration, audio training programs for Bell Canada)
17. Speaking to Audiences (I haven't been offered payment to speak since I've returned to the US. Invitations have been for freebies.)
18. Grants (These are tricky to write and I don't know how to do it properly.)
19. Kickstarter Campaign for my books (I plan to launch APlacetoWrite.org as a publishing house for books I publish. Patrons would receive finished books.)
20. Social Security (I need 9 more credits to be eligible)
21. Reverse Mortgage (If I cash out my home's equity and spend it on my condo costs, I'll have nothing left to pay for my nursing home care when I need it.)
22. Win big on a game show. (If only there were big game shows nearby, not California.)
